HSBC to give funding to help disadvantaged Vietnamese children

The Viet Nam arm of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) announced on Wednesday that its flagship Future First global education programme will give grants totalling 153,002 USD to 6 projects nationwide to help around 8,300 disadvantaged children.

In detail, 174,998 USD will go to the 3 SOS Children's villages in Da Nang, Hai Phong and Ben Tre, 13,317 USD to the Anh Duong Community Development and Support Centre, 15,807 USD to the Hearts for Hue Fund, and 48,880 USD to the Support Association for Children in Ho Chi Minh City.

Since being launched in Viet Nam in 2007, the Future First programme has so far provided a total of over 1,343,077 USD for 34 projects to bring benefits to more than 80,417 disadvantaged Vietnamese children.
