On Tuesday, the Youth Union Organisation of Da Nang Newspapers coordinated with the Lien Chieu District Education and Training Office to give 100 sets of textbooks worth about 10 million VND to Year 5 pupils at the city’s Hai Van and Hong Quang primary schools.

This is a part of the “Hura - Giving Strength to Poor Pupils” fund’s programme of donating 2,000 sets of textbooks to Year 5 pupils in remote areas during the 2013 - 2014 academic year.  Launched by the Bibica Corporation, the programme is running from 3 - 25 August in some of the cities and provinces nationwide.  These include Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh and Can Tho cities, along with the provinces of Tay Ninh, An Giang, Quang Nam and Thua Thien-Hue.

On 25 August, Da Nang Newspapers will give similar gifts to another 35 poor pupils from Phu Tuc Village, Hoa Phu Commune, Hoa Vang District.
