On Wednesday, the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches, the forest management teams in the districts of Ngu Hanh Son and Son Tra, and the city’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development jointly planted 20 trees around the 2 “tree bridges” in the Son Tra natural conservation area.
The purpose was to create environmentally friendly landscapes, as well as to facilitate the movement of douc langurs across roads.
The planted trees, which comprise 10 pterocarpus macrocarpus and 10 ficus benjamina l, cost more than 46 million VND in total. The funding was raised by Dr Ulrike Streicher PhD, a wildlife conservation advisor at the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology.
