On Tuesday morning, some representatives of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policy handed 200 million VND in donations to the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee to help local storm victims.  On behalf of the city’s leaders, the municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Nguyen Xuan Anh, expressed his thanks to the bank’s staff members for their kind and generous donations.

To date, the committee has received 2.98 billion VND from domestic and foreign organisations, businesses, and individuals to help the city to overcome the consequences of the storm.

In addition, the 29 March Textiles and Garments Company has donated 20 million VND to the Central Region Natural Disaster Mitigation Support Fund to help the hardest-hit areas in Da Nang and Quang Binh Province.  The donated money will be used to buy essential goods, textbooks and notebooks for affected victims in these areas.
