Destruction caused by violent storm

Storm Nari, which swept through the Da Nang area early on Tuesday morning, caused extensive damage and destruction across the city.

According to the latest figures, the storm resulted in 3 injuries in Ngu Hanh Son District, 6 in Hoa Vang District, 1 in Son Tra District and 1 in Thanh Khe District but, fortunately, no deaths have been reported in Da Nang. 

In addition, 124 houses completely collapsed, 1,121 lost their entire roofs, and 3,301 had their roofs damaged.  One hundred school classrooms had their roofs completely removed, 1,500 hectares of forest were destroyed, and over 40,000 trees along local streets were uprooted.

As soon as the storm passed, the local authorities took immediate action to deal with the storm damage and help local residents to resume their normal lives and business production.
