Financial assistance for storm victims
The Da Nang authorities have decided to provide financial assistance to local victims of the recent storm.
Specifically, families with members killed or missing will be given 6 million VND per victim, whilst people who were seriously injured and taken to local hospitals will receive 3 million VND each.
In addition, families whose homes have completely collapsed will be given 10 million VND each, those who lost their entire roofs can get financial assistance up to a maximum of 4 million VND, and others with damaged roofs will receive up to 1 million VND.
Social policy beneficiaries, including children of local martyrs, will get 30 million VND per household if their home was completely demolished.
In an attempt to deal with the many diseases which could occur after the storm, the Preventive Medical Centre has provided communal and ward medical stations with 245kg and 40,000 tablets of Chloramine B for disinfection, plus 28,000 Aquatabs water purification tablets and 100 litres of anti-mosquito chemical spray.
On Wednesday afternoon, 10 pre-schools in Cam Le District were sprayed with insecticide to kill mosquitoes in order to reduce the possibility of a dengue fever outbreak.
Medical centres in all of the city’s districts will continue to take measures to prevent and control any storm-related diseases in their localities.
