Between 7 and 9 October, the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital and the Children's Hospital No 1 in Ho Chi Minh City will provide free surgery for children with cleft lips and palates.

This is part of a bilateral cooperation programme between the city’s Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital and Smile Train - the world’s largest cleft lip and palate non-profit organisation. 

A total of 20 children from the central region and highlands have registered for the free surgery at the hospital.
