More beds suggested for Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital
Published: October 24, 2013
During its 2 years of operation, the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital has always faced patient overload. Therefore, the current 600-bed hospital is asking for permission from the municipal People's Council to increase the number of patient beds to 1,000 to meet the increasing healthcare demands of people from the city and neighbouring localities.
So far this year, the hospital has provided medical examinations and treatment for 150,450 patients in total, 44,032 of whom were inpatients. 29% of the hospital’s total number of patients came from localities outside Da Nang.
