Over the past year, the club’s members have made every effort to raise funds for charity by selling loaves of bread in front of their university and collecting waste materials along some local streets.  The money raised funded rice soup (chao) for poor patients and newborn babies at Hai Chau District’s Medical Centre.

To date, the club has given 12 large pots of rice soup with beef, worth 500,000 VND each, to these patients.

In addition to the above-mentioned activities, the club’s members have also been involved in removing illegal advertisements on power poles, alleys and in other public areas.

The club’s Chairman, Nguyen Van Ken, said that he and other members of his club would provide more free rice soup for poor patients at other hospitals in the city next year.  In addition, he added that they will ask for permission from the municipal authorities to manage more of the local streets to create cleaner and greener streets in the city.
