On Thursday evening, the Zone 3 Naval High Command ship HQ 628 left the Da Nang Port for Quang Tri Province’s Co Co Island and Quang Ngai Province’s Ly Son Island.  On board were more than 30 officers and men, and reporters from local and national newspapers and radio and TV stations.

The delegation, which is led by Deputy Political Commissar Colonel Bui Van Tam, is scheduled to visit both islands in 4 days.  During the visits, they will present Tet gifts to local residents, and officers and men in the island districts, as they have done in the past.

This has helped to encourage local military officers and men to fulfil their assigned task of protecting national sovereignty over its waters and islands.
