As part of the celebrations to mark the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students (9 January), 64 out of 246 recognised outstanding students over the 2012 - 2013 academic year were honoured at a ceremony in Da Nang on Wednesday evening.  The honourees were required to have good study results, moral standing, strength, skills and integration. 

Also at the event, 9 students at national level, along with 13 students who won the January Star awards, were honoured for their outstanding achievements over the period.

To mark the occasion, the Da Nang Students’ Association and its members have given free bus tickets, worth 300 million VND in total, to 1,500 poor students in the city to help them return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet with their families.
