At noon on 7 January, after finishing his guard duty at the Da Nang Military Headquarters’ gate at 38 Tran Phu Street, Private Vo Van Nguyen from the Office of the Chief of Staff at the Headquarters picked up a dropped wallet.  He immediately took the wallet containing 670,000 VND in cash, ATM cards, passports and other personal papers to his superior.

About an hour later, Mr Lars Gustafsson and his wife from Sweden returned to the Headquarters’ gate to look for their lost wallet, straight after they discovered it was missing.  Nguyen saw them and invited them to meet his superior to be given their lost wallet back.
