The American-owned super yacht Archimedes, carrying 17 crew members and 13 foreign passengers, berthed at Da Nang’s Han River Port on Sunday.  At 68m long, Archimedes was said to be the 24^th largest yacht in the USA in 2011, and is one of the world’s 100 largest. 

The passengers are from the UK, the USA, Canada and other countries.  During their 2-day stay in Da Nang they visited some popular tourist destinations in the central region, including Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue cities, and Quang Nam Province’s My Son Sanctuary.

After leaving Da Nang at noon today, the yacht will then visit Quang Binh Province’s Hon La Port and Quang Ninh Province’s Ha Long Bay to end its tour of Viet Nam.

Last Friday, the UK’s sailing yacht Merrymaid, with 5 passengers on board, docked at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port.  The passengers were taken to visit some of the city’s tourist attractions, as well as to discover the beauty of Hoi An City.
