Doctors at the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital recently saved the life of 7-year-old To Van Hoang Sang from Quang Ngai Province’s Tu Nghia District.
On 13 February, Sang was stung over 100 times by a swarm of wasps while he was playing with his friends in his hometown. He was rushed to the Quang Ngai General Hospital for immediate treatment. His health, however, deteriorated and he was brought to the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital with liver failure and swelling of the body. Parts of his body, especially his head, ears and belly, were completely covered with the wasp stings.
