The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr Nguyen Xuan Anh, recently met with the President of the Vietnamese Society of Dermatology and Venereology and Director of the National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology, Associate Professor Tran Hau Khang.  They discussed the preparations for the 21^st biannual Regional Conference of Dermatology (Asian-Australasian) which will take place at the Furama Resort Danang from 9 to 12 April.  This is the world’s largest conference on dermatology, and up to 1,000 people are expected to attend.  Many participants are leading dermatological experts from 11 countries in Asian and Australian regions.

Associate Professor Khang expressed his hope that the city’s authorities would facilitate the publicity of this conference in the mass media, and ensure emergency medical services in case of unexpected situations.

For his part, Vice Chairman Anh asked leaders of local relevant agencies to actively support the Vietnamese Society of Dermatology and Venereology to ensure the success of the upcoming event.  He also remarked that this is the largest ever international conference to be held in Da Nang, and will create the opportunity for the city to promote its image to international friends.
