At 8.00am on Wednesday, all nine fishermen on fishing boat QNg 94762 from Quang Ngai City were rescued after their boat hit an underground rock off the Da Nang coast and sank.

The boat’s crew members had been adrift at latitude 16°13’N and longitude 108°12’E since 5am.  Fortunately, after receiving their SOS message, the city’s Zone II Maritime Search and Rescue Centre (Da Nang MRCC) sent out 2 ships SAR 274 and 412 to rescue them. 

It took more than 2 hours in thick fog to find the victims, but they were all rescued eventually and transported to the mainland.
