DA NANG Today
Published: March 26, 2014

Hundreds of students from Da Nang’s Green Son Tra Voluntary Network clear up rubbish along Hoang Sa Street on the Son Tra Peninsula once every month.  The aim is to raise awareness among visitors and local residents about not littering and about environmental protection.

The activity is supported by the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches, and the GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Centre.  This helps to promote the effective implementation of the Peninsula’s nature protection.

The Son Tra Peninsula boasts attractive tourist areas, including the Vong Canh Hills, the Ban Co (Chess Board) Peek, an old helicopter landing area, an over 1000-year-old banyan tree, and the Linh Ung Pagoda.  In addition, there are the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, the Bien Dong Resort, and some popular restaurants.
