Three fires in one day
Three separate fires broke out in Da Nang’s Lien Chieu District on Monday.
The first blaze occurred at the Nguyen Loc Calligraphy Shop at 429-433 Ton Duc Thang Street at 1.20am. Three fire engines with over 20 firefighters from the district’s Division of Fire Fighting and Prevention, and another engine from Thanh Khe District, arrived on the scene quickly. Thanks to the great efforts of the firefighters, the blaze was completely extinguished within 30 minutes. An electrical short circuit is thought to have been the cause.
About 11.15am on the same day, another fire broke out at a black oil production factory of the Trung A Commerce and Production Company in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park. Witnesses said that they had tried to stamp out the fire but had had to call local firefighters to control the blaze. Soon after, 2 fire engines and more than 10 firefighters were sent to the scene, and the fire was completely extinguished within 15 minutes.
