As part of its programme to help Viet Nam’s education sector over recent years, Coca Cola Beverages Vietnam Ltd (CCBVL) donated teaching aids, worth over 1 billion VND, to some schools in Da Nang last month to help them prepare for the new 2014 - 2015 academic year.  The beneficiaries were 8 pre-schools, primary and junior high schools in the city’s 2 poor districts of Cam Le and Ngu Hanh Son.  Out of these, 7 schools received new computers to allow them to include information technology (IT) in their teaching activities.

In May, CCBVL will coordinate with the American Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam to give scholarships, worth 200 million VND in total, to 25 female students from 4 universities in the southern region.  The scholarships are granted annually to female students in the technical support faculties.  The aim is to help to seek and develop female human resources for the country’s high-tech industry.
