As part of the “Regeneration of Sex Organs for Children” programme, nine children with genital defects will undergo surgery for free at the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital between 16 and 21 June.  These children had medical examinations at the hospital last June.

The programme is being co-ordinated by the Asian Injury Prevention Foundation (AIPF) and the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital.  This will be the 3^rd time that Dr Roberto De Castro and medical practitioners from the AIPF have conducted medical examinations and performed surgeries at the hospital.

The Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital is currently providing screening tests until 30 May for children from across the southern and central regions who have congenital or accidental genital malformations.

Anyone living in the central region who has a child with a genital defect can register for a free medical examination at the Paediatric Surgery Department of the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital, which is located at 402 Le Van Hien Street in Ngu Hanh Son District.  They can also contact Dr Phong on 0905377003 or 0935195677.
