On Wednesday afternoon, the Chairman of the Viet Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) and some of its members visited the Fisheries Surveillance Team No 3 at Da Nang’s Fisheries Surveillance Agency Zone 2 and donated 1 billion VND to them.  The money will help the force to buy equipment for its tasks, as well as give assistance to those team members who have been injured while on duty at sea.

On the same day, the VASEP members also donated 1 billion VND to Quang Nam Province-based Marine Police Agency Zone 2.  This will allow the force to buy equipment in the service of safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty over its sea and islands.

All the above donations came from contributions from VASEP’s seafood business members in response to an appeal for donations entitled “Public Sentiments towards Viet Nam's Sea and Islands”.
