More support for Marine Police and Fisheries Surveillance forces
On Monday afternoon, the Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Mr Truong Minh Tuan, visited and gave 50 million VND from his ministry’s budget to the Fisheries Surveillance Team No 3 at Da Nang’s Fisheries Surveillance Agency Zone 2. He praised the team members for their prudence, resilient spirit, and great courage in the struggle against China’s violations of the sovereignty and legitimate rights of Viet Nam.
On the same day, some representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Viet Nam National Oil and Gas Group donated 1.2 billion VND in total to the Vietnamese Marine Police and Fisheries Surveillance forces. The donation was seen as precious spiritual and material support for the forces. Over recent days, they have been actively involved in protecting fishermen at sea, and safeguarding the nation's sovereignty over its territorial waters.
