Nearly 500 pupils stand together to form map of Viet Nam, including Truong Sa and Hoang Sa islands

Last Saturday morning, the Do Dang Tuyen Junior High School in Da Nang’s Thanh Khe District held their closing ceremony for the academic year 2013 - 2014.
At the event, the school’s 500 pupils stood together to form an S-shaped map of Viet Nam, including the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos. The school pupils vociferously chanted slogans, including “We love peace”, “The Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos are the flesh and blood of Viet Nam” and “Vietnamese fishermen are strongly determined to fish in the Hoang Sa waters”. This showed the ardent patriotism of the school pupils, as well as their strong objections to China’s unilateral action of bringing the HD-981oil drilling rig to operate on Viet Nam’s continental shelf.
