Following a recent decision by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh, 17 communes in Viet Nam will each receive 1 billion VND of government funding for social welfare.  These communes are being rewarded for meeting the nation’s new rural development criteria as well as for their remarkable achievements in implementing the national target programme for upgrading rural areas over the past 3 years.

The funding will come from government bonds which are being issued to implement the programme.   Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Tien Commune is the only locality in Da Nang which has been listed amongst the recipients.
