Representatives from Kobe visit Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital
Some representatives from Japan’s Kobe International Exchange Centre visited the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital from 19 – 22 May. The purpose of their visit was to assess the implementation and effectiveness of a Kobe-funded project for systematically training nurses and midwives over the 2012 – 2015 period. To date, 24 nurses and midwives from the hospital have been to Japan to take a professional training course.
During their 4-day stay in Da Nang, the Japanese experts attended the hospital’s training courses on nursing and midwifery for new trainees, and contributed their opinions to improve training quality. The courses were taught by some of the nurses and midwives who had taken a professional training course in Japan. In addition, the visiting guests became involved in training 270 nurses and midwives at the hospital.
