Speeding up site clearance at the Hue T-junction
During his meeting on Tuesday with representatives of the Thanh Khe District Party Committee, the Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, Mr Vo Cong Tri, praised the district’s authorities for their great efforts in implementing local socio-economic developments, Party and government building work, and social welfare programmes. As of 10 May, the district’s total tax collection had reached 37.2% of its target for the year.
Deputy Secretary Tri pointed out that the progress of site clearance for the Hue T-junction overpass project was slower in Thanh Khe District than in Cam Le and Lien Chieu, despite the district authority’s active involvement in doing this work.

By 9 May, 53 of the 105 local families affected by the project had been relocated off the site. The other families have yet to hand over their land plots to the project’s developer. Whilst 29 of the plots will be completely cleared, the remainder will be partly cleared.
On the same day, the municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, vowed that the local authorities will make every effort to complete the construction of the first phase of the north-west traffic axis by June 2015. The axis is expected to attract a number of commercial and service centres.
