The 4^th Congress of the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam-Russia Friendship Association in the 2014 - 2019 tenure took place in the city on Sunday.

During the tenure, the focus will be on increasing exchange activities to further deepen the solidarity and friendship between the people of Da Nang and Russia.  In addition, the city’s branch of the Association is aiming to accelerate the traditional cooperation between the city and Russia’s Yaroslav Province, as well as establish twinning relationships with other Russian localities in the future.  More measures will also be taken to expand cooperation with some Russian partners in trade and investment, tourism and other aspects.  Special attention will be paid to promoting the city’s image as well as appealing for more Russian businesses to invest in the city.  The Association will also pro-actively seize opportunities to establish partnerships and cooperative ties with more Russian businesses, especially in hi-tech industries and tourism.

The city’s branch of the Viet Nam-Russia Friendship Association now has about 500 members.
