60,000 glasses of milk donated to local military forces and fishermen
A total of 60,000 glasses of milk, donated by the TH True Milk Group and valued at 465 million VND, has been given to Da Nang’s military forces and fishermen. The recipients were the city’s Border Guard, the Marine Police Agency Zone 2 and Zone 3 naval forces, and fishermen living in the districts of Lien Chieu, Thanh Khe, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son.
The milk donation is a part of the “Standing Side by Side with the Country’s Population and its Sea and Islands” programme which has been jointly launched by the General Office for Population and Family Planning under the Ministry of Public Health, and the TH True Milk Group. The 2.2 billion programme aims to provide a total of 280,000 glasses of milk to those who are on duty at sea safeguarding Viet Nam’s sovereignty over its sea and islands, and to fishermen who are determined to fish in the Hoang Sa waters to earn their living. The recipients are those living in Da Nang, and the provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Nam, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa. The donation is seen as a great encouragement which will help improve the recipients’ spiritual and material life.
