Eurowindow donates shatter-proof glass windows to coastguard ship
On Thursday, the Director of the Da Nang branch of the European Plastics Window Company Ltd (Eurowindow), Mr Do Thu Khoa, pledged to install for free some new shatter-proof glass windows on Vietnamese coastguard ship 6006. The ship belongs to the Marine Police Zone 2 and it is now being repaired in the city after it was fired on with water cannons by Chinese ships in the Hoang Sa waters.
The 10.76mm-thick glass can withstand wind pressures of up to 800 daN/m2, equivalent to a wind speed of level 12. It can resist water cannon attacks and, if hit by a strong force, it only cracks and does not shatter into fragments.

Director Khoa also vowed that Eurowindow would also donate shatter-proof glass to other Vietnamese coastguard ships in the near future when they return from the Hoang Sa waters where they have been safeguarding the country’s sovereignty over its territorial waters.
