After the crash of the Thao Van 2 tourist boat into a pier of the Han River Bridge on 21 July, the Da Nang People’s Committee has asked the Department of Transport and local relevant agencies to expand their checks of local tourist boats, and deal with any violations by their owners.  This aim is to ensure the safety of crew members and passengers during times of operation.
