Youth Union members to do voluntary work in Laos

Between 22 and 28 July, more than 40 members of Da Nang’s Youth Union will go to the southern Sekong and Salavan provinces of Laos to carry out voluntary work. They include young doctors, government employees and university students.
During their one-week stay in Laos, the volunteers will give free medical examinations and medicines to 2,000 residents in Sekong Province, and to another 1,500 in Salavan Province. They will also donate 2 computers to each of the 2 provinces, present gifts worth 300,000 VND each to the local families, and learning aids for local pupils. In addition, a wide range of cultural and sporting exchange activities will be held during the visits.
