Ensuring sufficient supplies of Ebola virus protective clothing
To date, no suspected, probable or confirmed Ebola cases have been recorded in Viet Nam. However, the Vietnamese Ministry of Health is attaching great importance to ensuring effective Ebola prevention and detection to prevent any possible outbreaks in the country. The Ministry will buy 10,000 sets of personal protective clothing which will then be provided for medical staff and others who are at a high risk of coming into contact with the deadly disease.
Medical staff at local hospitals and other medical establishments in Da Nang have, however, yet to be equipped with the protective clothing, which includes masks, gloves, gowns, boots and goggles.

To deal with the problem, Da Nang’s Department of Health will provide personal protective clothing for local medical workers and customs staff at the city’s International Airport and local ports very soon. This will help to reduce the risk of them contracting Ebola whilst they are on duty.
