The family of 35-year-old Dang Dinh Xo Viet from Son Tra District’s Nai Hien Dong Ward launched his new offshore fishing boat, DNa 90622TS, at the Tho Quang fishing wharf on Monday morning.

The nearly 5 billion VND, 800 Hp, 20m x 6m wooden-hulled boat has 2 motors, and it will be used to fish for squid and tuna in the Hoang Sa waters - Viet Nam's traditional fishing ground.

Mr Viet will receive 600 million VND from the city’s budget for his newly-built boat in accordance with the local preferential policies regarding support for building offshore fishing boats and mother ships.
