Outstanding businesses honoured
A total of 27 businesses have been honoured in recognition of their significant contributions towards improving the living standards of their employees. The awards ceremony, at Da Nang’s Trung Vuong Theatre on Thursday evening, was organised by the Labour Union as part of the city's “Year for Business 2014” programme.
The honourees were 5 State-run and 6 FDI enterprises, along with 16 joint stock and limited companies. They all abide by the State labour and trade union laws, as well as strictly implement policies and regulations to protect the rights of their employees.

These businesses and their trade unions have together agreed reasonable salary levels and scales, and labour contracts with articles which bring additional benefits to the employees beyond the provisions of the current State labour laws. They have also focused on organising dialogues between the employers and their employees, implementing labour protection measures, creating a safe and friendly working environment, and strictly complying with the State’s and the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour’s regulations about trade union finances.
