Contractors of the overpass project at Da Nang’s Hue T-junction, the Trung Nam and the Trung Nam Hue T-junction companies, say that about 60% of the project’s construction work has now been completed.  So far, over 600 billion VND has been spent on the project, and most of the construction of the piers and foundations has been completed.  The focus is now on constructing the overpass’s roundabouts, with half of the concrete piers for the main roundabout completed.  The approach roads on Dien Bien Phu and Ton Duc Thang streets have also been finished.

The overpass is expected to open to traffic on 29 March 2015 to mark the 40^th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang.  To meet this deadline, the companies are aiming to complete all overpass piers by 10 November 2014, and the roundabouts by 15 January 2015.  The implementation of the project’s cable-stayed spans and the remaining approach roads is scheduled to be completed by 15 February 2015.  Then, all attention will be on finishing any remaining items in preparation for the scheduled inauguration day.
