There is a wide variety of types of mooncake on sale for next Monday’s Mid-autumn Festival, and they are in plentiful supply. 

Local customers prefer to buy traditional mooncakes, filled with green beans, lotus seeds, sausage and egg, due to their reasonable price at between 150,000 VND and 300,000 VND per box of 4.  In contrast, the price of high-grade products containing shark’s fin and swallow’s nests ranges from several hundred to several millions of VND per box.  There are also low sugar and less greasy cakes for people with diabetes or on a diet.

Paper lanterns have become best-sellers at BigC Mall and Co.op Mart because they are good value at between 49,000 VND and 69,000 VND each.  In addition, buyers find it very easy to fold these lanterns to carry away.
