Seaside rescue stations to be set up
Approval has been given by the Da Nang People’s Committee for setting up seaside rescue stations along Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Sa and Nguyen Tat Thanh streets. The cost of establishing the stations will come from financial donations from local individuals and organisations.
The rescue stations will be established on the pavements opposite the Tuan Sai Gon and Hung Gia Tran hotels, as well as on the sea-front on the eastern side of Vo Nguyen Giap Street, opposite the Border Guard Station 252, and in a residential area in Man Thai Ward.
The Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches will work closely with the People’s Committees of Lien Chieu, Thanh Khe, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts to appeal for donations for the project. A focus will be on ensuring that the siting of the rescue stations would not affect the green trees and space for pedestrians on the pavements.
