Approval has been given by the Da Nang People's Committee for a display of ao dai (traditional long dress), and for holding ao dai fashion shows at the Museum of Da Nang. 

The presentation of the daily 10 - 15 minute ao dai fashion shows is interesting and spectacular, and does not violate current regulations relating to arts performances and cultural heritage management.  The shows are expected to become one of the city’s popular and impressive cultural activities, imbued with national cultural identity.  This will help to attract more visitors both from home and abroad to the museum.

The shows will be held in a separate, soundproofed, area so that visitors who want to read and learn about displayed objects at the museum will not be disturbed.
