The 1^st Congress of the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam-India Friendship Association in the 2014 - 2019 tenure took place at the Museum of Cham Sculpture on Thursday morning.

The event aimed to encourage local residents from all walks of life to promote bilateral friendship and cooperative relations with those from Indian localities.  This will contribute significantly to further deepening the strategic partnership between Da Nang and localities in India, and Viet Nam and India as a whole.

At the event, 18 people were elected to the Association’s Executive Board.  The Director of the Museum, Mr Vo Van Thang, was appointed Chairman of the Association.
