At noon on Wednesday, fishing boat DNa 90609 from Da Nang’s Thanh Khe District, with a crew of 7 aboard, suffered engine failure whilst fishing about 35 nautical miles south-east of the Da Nang coast.  At that time, the weather at sea was very bad, with wind speeds at level 8/9 and waves up to 3m high.

After receiving an SOS message from the fishing boat, the Zone II Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (Da Nang MRCC) sent out rescue ship SAR 274 to help the victims.
