Tet gifts given to disadvantaged children and poor families
On Wednesday morning, Tet gifts worth 500,000 VND each were given to 119 children from Da Nang’s Hy Vong (Hope) Village which is home to poor, disabled and orphaned children. These gifts were funded by the staff of the city’s Fortis Hoan My Hospital.
In addition, each of the village’s children received Tet gifts of new clothes, shoes, cakes, candy and food. The money spent on buying these gifts came from donations by the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Japanese Democratic Women’s Association (FEMIN), and other generous donors.
On the same day, Tet gifts valued at 500,000VND each were also given to 350 poor families in Lien Chieu District. These gifts were funded by the Coca Cola Beverages Vietnam Ltd (CCBVL) as part of CCBVL’s “Enjoying the Tet Festival with Coca-Cola” programme.
