Train departing from HCMC derails in city
10 minutes after leaving the Da Nang Railway Station at around 1:30 pm on Monday, the 10th carriage of train SE4 on its Ho Chi Minh City - Ha Noi journey, derailed off a section of the rail track near Da Nang’s Hue T-Junction. The 11-carriage train was carrying hundreds of passengers at that time.
About 100 metres of railway sleepers were seriously damaged by the incident. Luckily, no human injuries were reported, and hundreds of local railroad workers promptly arrived at the scene to repair the damaged railway sleepers.

By 3.00 pm on the same day, the 10th and 11th carriages were separated from the train, and they were then towed to the Da Nang Railway Station by a tractor. By 4:30 pm, the train was able to continue its journey.
The case is now still under investigation.
