The developer of the overpass project at Da Nang’s Hue T-junction is determined to ensure that the overpass can be officially opened to traffic on 29 March to mark the 40th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang.  Each day now their employees are working around the clock to complete the construction work by 20 March.

Between 24 and 26 March the overpass will be opened for trial runs, and local residents will be allowed to visit and take photos.

According to the developer, over 96% of the construction work has so far been completed.  About 100 workers and dozens of machines are involved in asphalting the approach roads on the northwest side of the overpass, and building concrete pillars flanking the roads.

Over 3,500m of railings have already been installed.  The installation of the remaining 1,000m of railings is now underway and is scheduled to be completed in the next 10 days.

Growing a total of 17,000m2 of decorative grass and flowers started today, 6 March, and this work is expected to be completed by 15 March.  100 trees have been planted to date, and another 300 will appear over the next 10 days.

More than 70% of the installation of the overpass’s lighting system has been finished.  The replacement of overhead power cables by underground ones is scheduled to be completed in the next two days.
