On Thursday, the Da Nang Department of Police held a meeting to identify tasks for ensuring social order, security and traffic safety during the upcoming cultural events to mark the 40^th anniversary of the city’s liberation (29 March 1975).

The focus will be on ensuring social order and security during the grand celebration of the city’s liberation at the Tien Son Sports Arena at 7:30am on 28 March, and during a large-scale musical performance at the same venue at 8:00pm on 29 March.

The overpass project nears completion

Importance will be also attached to maintaining social order, security and traffic safety during the fireworks displays which will take place at 9.00pm on 28 March, and at the inauguration ceremony for the Hue T-junction overpass at a vacant land area of the Quang Thang Bricks and Tiles enterprise on the morning of 29 March.

The 15-minute-long fireworks shows will be held at 4 different locations in the city.  They are Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, Ngu Hanh Son District’s arena, the Phuong Trang residential area in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Minh Ward, and a vacant land area in front of the headquarters of the Hoa Vang District Fatherland Front Committee.
