The German-funded project aims to develop a rapid multi-sectoral urban planning with a focus on saving energy, protecting and managing water, wastewatern and solid waste, along with promoting the development of urban agriculture.
In Da Nang, a focus will be on combining green infrastructure planning with water source management and agricultural land planning in rural areas in order to prevent flooding and protect river banks.
In addition, emphasis will be on providing training courses on enhancing management capacity, implementing policy dialogue, and building a link network. Special attention will also be paid to working closely with local universities to develop new human resources who will take responsibility for managing green urban areas in a sustainable manner.
