Following recent instructions from the Da Nang People’s Committee, local relevant agencies will increase checks and impose stricter penalties on violators for using vehicle horns which exceed noise limits and unnecessarily honking between 10pm and 5am on some of the inner-city streets.

The municipal Department of Transport will be responsible for placing “Don’t Honk Your Horn” signs in front of some local hospitals, schools, and government agency buildings in order to ensure social order and traffic safety.

Meanwhile, the city’s Motor Vehicle Registration Centre will deal with any violations detected about the installation of vehicle horns which do not meet the city’s regulations.
