The Da Nang Farmers’ Association recently publicised measures against social evils amongst its over 500 members in the areas of Thanh Khe, Son Tra and Lien Chieu districts.

The participants were introduced to an ordinance on prostitution prevention and combat, and the “All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas” campaign, as well as the city’s “5 No's, 3 Yes's” and cultural and civilised urban lifestyle-building programmes.

In addition, a focus was on measures to prevent HIV transmission, and on creating job opportunities for local prostitutes to help them confidently reintegrate into the community.

During the event, commitments on building farmer residential groups and families without social evils, especially prostitution or illegal drugs, were also signed by local families.
