By yesterday, tickets in the B3 and B4 stands for the 2015 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC 2015) were sold out at the official locations. 

However, those who are in need of tickets, even invitation ones, can buy them from “black-market” ticket sellers in front of the city’s Trung Vuong Theatre.  Most of the tickets in the B4 stand are being offered at 700,000 VND per ticket for the evening of 28 April and 500,000 VND for the following day.  These prices are respectively 300,000 VND and 100,000 VND higher than the prices stipulated by the city.  In addition, tickets in the C stand are now being offered on the internet at 500,000 VND.

Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr Tran Chi Cuong, said that there was a decrease of 13,000 tickets against the previous festival to 20,600 this year.  In addition, he noted that 30% of tickets in the C stand are still available.

Mr Cuong explained that the problem of the local black market is being caused by local residents who have bought large numbers of tickets and then resold them to others.  In addition, this year’s event has seen a positive rise in the purchasing power for tickets of local residents and visitors, whilst there was a decrease in the number of the tickets issued, he added.
