Police officer responsible for transporting fireworks for DIFC
This is the 7th time that the Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Division of the Da Nang Police Department, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Luc, has been responsible for guiding containers carrying the fireworks for the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2015 (DIFC 2015) from Lang Son Province to the city.
Mr Luc remarked that the fireworks are highly flammable and dangerous explosives and transporting the fireworks could pose an inherent risk to those involved in this tough job if the essential transport requirements are not strictly followed. Therefore, Mr Luc and his men always do their utmost to fulfil their assigned tasks well.

The container vehicles carrying the fireworks tubes, led by police patrol motorcycles, usually run on the roads at slow speeds in order to avoid crashing into other vehicles. During their several-hundred-kilometre journey to Da Nang, those involved in transporting the fireworks usually take short breaks and have rushed meals in order to get ahead with their tasks. When parked, the containers are required to be parked several kilometres away from residential areas in order to protect communities from unexpected fireworks explosions.
The self-motivated police officer was enlisted in the police force in 1983, and he has been a pioneer in difficult tasks. He always encourages his men to make every effort to fulfil their tasks well, regardless of all the hardships and dangers, in order to make Da Nang a safe and civilised city.
