During his recent meeting with representatives from Da Nang’s departments, agencies and district authorities, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho asked local relevant agencies to make every effort to successfully fulfil this year's socio-economic development targets.

The focus will be on helping local businesses to further their production activities, ensuring the growth of the local economic sectors, and improving social welfare.  Strong measures will be taken to ensure social security and traffic safety during the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2015, which will take place on 28 and 29 April.  Special attention will also be paid to preventing robberies and pickpocketing at the upcoming event because these problems could adversely affect the city’s tourism environment, and make the city less attractive to visitors.
